Students, parents, teachers and residents came together for a lively and successful St. Paul Back-to-School Fair, as the community united on Thursday, August 20th, 2026 to celebrate the start of another school year.

The event, sponsored by St. Paul’s Member of Parliament, Hon. E.P. Chet Greene, held at the Liberta School basketball court, brought together students from Cobb’s Cross Primary School, Liberta Primary School and New Bethel SDA Academy for an afternoon filled with music, entertainment, food and fellowship.

Hon. E.P. Chet Greene described the event as a resounding success and extended heartfelt thanks to the many people who worked behind the scenes to make it possible.

Greene praised the principals and teachers for their commitment to students and for helping to create an inviting atmosphere, while parents, guardians and volunteers were recognized for their energy and hard work.

He also singled out the music providers, entertainers, kitchen and janitorial teams, whose contributions helped keep the event running smoothly and ensured that the hundreds of attendees were comfortable and entertained.

“Your talents and behind-the-scenes efforts blended seamlessly to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of the hundreds in attendance,” Greene said, describing their contribution as helping to make the day “magical.”

The fair provided an opportunity for the St. Paul community to come together ahead of the new academic year, while giving students a chance to enjoy themselves before returning to the classroom.

Greene also used the occasion to wish students across the constituency success as they embark on the new school year.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the schools, students and wider educational community in St. Paul, stressing the importance of continued cooperation.

“As we look ahead to the new school year, I personally want to wish all our little ones a successful and fulfilling journey ahead,” Greene said. “Together, we will continue to make a difference!”

The successful staging of the Back-to-School Fair has once again highlighted the strong community spirit within St. Paul, with schools, families, volunteers and community supporters joining forces to give students a memorable send-off into the new academic year.
